While working on The Green Hornet, I met amazing talents — one by the name of Yoshio Iizuka. He is Kato’s stunt double, and is extremely talented and a veteran in the game. He was also the stunt double for Fat Bastard, and the green Power Ranger. He can kick some butt. haha

comedy

scene frm ktown cowboys

Made a stop tonight on the making of the K-Town Cowboys series. It’s a story about boys being boys and Ktown happens to be the backdrop. It was pretty cool to see a lot of my friends collaborating and supporting one another. I’m excited to see when this drops and hope ya’ll stay tuned for the release & see if you can find my cameo.

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

Oh how I love rice cakes! Today is Korean Thanksgiving Day, otherwise known as Chuseok in Korean.

Traditionally, we eat rice cakes filled with sesame seeds, red beans, chestnuts, or jujubes, and they’re delicious!!

After spending some time with family, I headed over to my dear friends Edward & Julie’s place to catch a flick, snack on tacos & play a game of hold em. Good times!

MY NINJA x FR*A

Before we go back to school, back to work – its just another summer night where I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream… tacos, Nintendo, FMFRA, and all my ninjas @ the endless summer mixtape release party! FM killed it once again bringing crowds something new along with their high energy and innovative flavaa.

^__^

I enjoyed the collaborative vibe as everyone rocked out passionately for music and 4C held it down with dedication, love, and support for the movement. Big shout out to Diesel! ^^

jamba juice

cruiser

So I started the day with water, wheatgrass, and stretching. Okay, not wheatgrass.. but something from jamba juice. Then I laced up my kicks and grabbed that wooden plank of mine that I used to push all the time. There’s nothing like feeling griptape on the bottom of your shoes while attempting to shred as if you were sixteen again. It was fun and exciting to get out of my chair and cruise the city streets spontaneously. I headed out to h-wood with friend and photographer, Carmen Chan scouting for locations to shoot, and we ended up on top of a sweet structure. I quickly realized how much I’ve missed skateboarding over the years and the love I have for eating asphalt (Oh, what a feelin’). Along with the satisfaction of knowing that the kids I used to give stickers out to are now better than you.

paramount pictures

By early evening, I was over at Paramount Pictures watching movie screenings and visited sister #1.

So good friend since kindergarden, J-weezy flew in from Shanghai recently where he’s been handling business and making that bread & butter. What does this white-collar man do? What first comes to mind is that he has been  living in an increasingly restrictive society with no youtube, no blogging, no facebook, and a lifestyle to many in which you’re either fenced in or out and told when and how you should do things. Freedoms we take for granted. He is well disciplined and educated internationally.

I just got back meeting with JJ and it’s been about a year since I’ve last seen him. It’s good to catch up and listen to his exotic travel stories. He is truly a visionary and entrepreneur making some big career/carrier dictions overseas right now. I’d say you’re a big deal when your company transports over 100 million tons of cargo annually and you live in downtown (business capital of the world) Chinaland. “Well business out here isn’t about buying low and selling high for me, sure there’s paper trade and communists, but also a lot of defining moments, discoveries, and God given desires for me to learn and witness in a foreign place.” – Jimin

This guy is very humble and still nothing but loyal, positive vibes, and a big encouragement in my life. If you have any perception of style and respect for the ease in which a person can execute any given job and save a hard earned dollar, then I’m sure you’d agree with me that Jimin is one amazing fellow. And he still dresses as if he robbed J Crew & Gucci over the weekend. haha You might even say, “I want your messenger bag, your wallet, your shoes, and your suit & ties mann!!” ^^

But yeah, I’m pretty blessed to have long lasting set of friends in my life.

Here’s to my friend, Won Ji min.

Shout out to my kinder friends… April Park & Peter Choi!!
